One stop north on the trainline from Ely is the large village of Littleport. The cycle ride up to there and back along beside the River Great Ouse is one of my staples — though it can get quite windy as you’re cycling across quite exposed land. (more…)

I admit it — I’m most certainly a fair-weather cyclist, and the past few months have been grim. Today was warm & sunny however, and so I once more donned the ol’ shorts and set off on my bike to Pymoor, a fenland village to the northwest of Ely. (more…)
